About this listen

Despite the fragility of their relationship, Catharine and Alex have found a happiness together they never expected to find. Alex's career is soaring with her hard-fought place on the US Women's National Team as she prepares for the World Cup over the summer. Catharine is flourishing in her newfound freedom, embracing her love with Alex, while still being forced to keep their romance a secret amidst her soon-to-be ex-husband's presidential campaign. But it's more than either woman hoped for. More than they ever imagined.

Until a secret is revealed that threatens it all. Their relationship. Alex's career. Catharine's business. Even their lives. When it all comes crashing down, both women must ask themselves—how can love survive?

Caught Sleeping is Book Two of a Three Book series.

Liked the sports theme and development of the story. Good characters and looking forward to the next one.

Great story

An emotional romance with lots of drama, intrigue, secrets and betrayals. Alex's career is taking off, but Catherine is struggling to keep her business and deal with her husbands run at the presidency. The writing is great with very real flawed characters and some heartbreaking situations. Abby Craden is an excellent narrator as long as she sticks at American accents, her Newcastle, Australian and Scottish accents sometimes made me cringe.

This series is outstanding. Beautifully written and full of well developed characters. The storyline keeps you totally engaged and leave you wanting more and more long after the book is finished. Cant wait for the conclusion My only issue was with some of the narration. Abby Craden is a wonderful narrator but her Australian, Scottish and Welsh accents were poor.

Superb!

Myself and my partner loved this series and Abby Craden is our favourite narrator. However the accents are pretty awful. As brits (who live in Newcastle), all of the british accents were pretty unrecognisable lol.

Great Story - Awful Accents

This series is one of my absolute favourites. I loved the books and I fell in love with them all over again with Abby’s narration. Catharine’s voice, quite frankly, makes me swoon!

The story is captivating, picking up from The Senator’s Wife and steering us along a journey of intrigue, heartbreak, adventure and emotional turmoil with an ending both satisfactory and eager to see what happens next.

Catharine and Alex’s journey continues in this second instalment without feeling like it’s merely a portal from the first to the third. Add in a healthy dose of angst and you have a novel that had me staying up late or driving extra miles to listen to that little bit more!

Bring on the next!

Captivating!

This second book in the trilogy is brilliantly written. The story with all its twists & turns is just simply magnificent. Every spare moment I have I listened & I have not been disappointed. It is so captivating & one feels so invested in all the main characters willing them on. It’s just fantastic & I would strongly recommend. Have already downloaded book 3 & cannot wait to start it, but at the same time I won’t want to finish it!

Didn’t think it could surpass audiobook 1

I've read all 3 books so wanted to listen and have them on audible too. it's a great story, the narrator unfortunately is not very good at accents so should probably just stick to reading in here normal voice as it's lovely. Being Welsh, her trying to do the Welsh accent had me laughing, sorry it was awful sounded nothing like the Welsh, same as any of the accents she did for the UK.
the story of Alex and Catherine is full of drama and I really love it. looking forward to the third and final audible being released

great second book

Story was excellent and normally I love Abby Cradden narration, she is brilliant. However, the Aussie, Scottish and Welsh accents were unrecognisable and really annoying
