Excellent story and narration- where are the other books?
This is such a good book, light hearted and fun but exceptionally well written. The narrator is perfect. I love the books and this is such a humorous account of life with all it’s quirks. Jilly bond does great voices. Only issue is they only appear to have 3 books as audio. MORE PLEASE, do the rest of the series!

Nice little story
A lovely easy listen with some amusing moments along the way. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting an easy lighthearted listen.

Loved this book. Real feel good factor.
Lovely book telling the story of a couple who took the plunge and moved their lives to Spain. Some good laughs along the way of their adventure.

Funny and enchanting!!
I started listening to this book by mistake and thank goodness I did. I fell in love with the lifestyle and the combatants and really am looking forward to the next book. Laid back, idiosyncratic, Spanish life for the British pats!!!

FANTASTIC!!
What a brilliant series! The situations Vicky and Joe find themselves in are so funny and you just can't help but smile listening to all the characters that make up their little Spanish village of El Hoyo. I found myself relating to the Ufarte family the most which was somewhat concerning!
What a fabulous storyteller. 'Chickens, Mules and Two Old Fools' is a wonderfully entertaining book. I feel as though I know all of the eccentric characters described in the book, and would recognise them all immediately if I took a trip to the village.
I have listened to all three and have thoroughly enjoyed them. They made me laugh out loud, which earned several me strange looks from fellow dog walkers passing by.
I have since introduced my parents to this series and they are currently listening and is making them laugh just as much. I hope the subsequent books will be released on Audible in the near future as the narrator does a great job of telling the tales of rural Spain.
I can't recommend them enough!

Nice story. Narrator a little annoying
