Summary

Enchantingly read by Cynthia Erivo.

The earth-shattering and magical epic finale to the Legacy of Orïsha trilogy: Children of Anguish and Anarchy by the New York Times-bestselling author Tomi Adeyemi.

New allies rise.

The Blood Moon nears.
Zélie faces her final enemy.
The king who hunts her heart.

When Zélie seized the royal palace that fateful night, she thought her battles had come to an end. The monarchy had finally fallen. The maji had risen again. Zélie never expected to find herself locked in a cage and trapped on a foreign ship. Now warriors with iron skulls traffick her and her people across the seas, far from their homeland.

Then everything changes when Zélie meets King Baldyr, her true captor and the man who has ravaged entire civilizations to find her. The ruler of the Skulls, Baldyr’s quest to harness Zélie’s strength sends Zélie, Amari, and Tzain searching for allies in foreign lands.

But as Baldyr closes in, catastrophe charges Orïsha’s shores. It will take everything Zélie has to face her final enemy and save her people before the Skulls annihilate them for good.

A special collection of stories….

Roll on the movies! What a world! Tomi Adeyemi has created a world that is so easy to submerge yourself into. This last instalment rounded off the story so well. There’s drama, highs, lows, subtle romance… but it’s the perseverance of some of the main characters that really evoke feelings of pride & inspiration whilst reading the book. “Duty before self!” Oh Inan!
Just read the book! You won’t be disappointed.

Loved the new narrator

I really enjoyed the performance of this book by Cynthia Erivo unlike the previous reader. This book was good but I personally didn’t find it as riveting as the other 2. It didn’t feel as complex. I’ve got so many questions like, where’s Roen? What happened to him and will we ever know? Thank you for finishing the trilogy for us. I’m sad it’s come-to an end.
