Fantastic story and performance

This was so lovely to listen to. So beautifully written, with great adventure and some beautiful words. I want David Tennant to read all of my audio books, so good!

Not what I expected, but fantastic non-the-less

Been meaning to read this for years. Had no idea it was so different from the film. However, it was a fantastic little story made all the better by David Tennant's narration. I literally found myself giggling at some points!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang -Great story and Rendition

Title says it all really. As with most film adaptations, markedly different from film but still a great story and one can understand how it became the brilliant film it did. The loss of cinematic imagery was well compensated by the superb rendition by David Tenant. Most enjoyable from beginning to end.

Loved by my son

My son (5) has been listening to this whilst in the bath recently and you can see the joy in his eyes as he listens.

He thinks Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is the best name for a car and is mesmerised by the idea that the car can be real with its own personality and be as much a part of the family as the people themselves.

The story is excellently read by David Tennant, although I'm not sure why he is reading with an English accent and not his native Scottish one. Sometimes older books can date/age and be less accessible to children today. This book has aged well; the language isn't too difficult or wordy and the overall ideas still resonate.

We would recommend it.

David Tennant, narrateur parfait!

Superb story, superb narration. After discovering the inimitable Anton Lesser, I know that a Tennant reading will enthral as well. Thank you, Fleming. A gem.

Much better than the movie

I downloaded this for my children on long car journey and enjoyed it so much I immediately purchased the rest of the books in the series although not by Ian Fleming
