About this listen
In a world that is “woke”, how many Christians are actually awake? This short theologically sound primer is a resource for pastors, ministry leaders, community leaders, and other thinking Christians that explains carefully and clearly what critical race theory and wokeness truly are, what the Bible teaches about race and ethnicity, why wokeness is distinct from Christianity and should be rejected, and how the church can work for unity based in the gospel of grace.
Owen Strachan is a respected Reformed theologian and thought leader who can help Christians:
- Better understand critical race theory, something very few do;
- Understand the high stakes - for the church and society at large - of wokeness as a movement;
- Think through America’s complex past with nuance and sensitivity;
- Study how God has made humanity one through the imago Dei;
- Grasp the beauty of the biblical doctrine of ethnicity and “race”; and
- Be ready to work for unity in perilous times
I found the tone though at times somewhat condescending, harsh & arrogant which may put other listeners off the good content
I think it's appeal will be limited to Christians who are already aware to some extent of the Marxist ideas relating to Wokeness & it's destructive dangers.
Clear critique of Wokeness

modern psychology tells you that certain people are born diffrent.
also he cited Romans 1 in referral of gay people. Pointing to it and saying told you so is dishonest of him. He knows with many Scripture passages you can't just take it on face value but you have to look at culturally, socially and the background of sexuality in the Roman world. Google gay sexuality on Google and you will see there is a vast difference in it than with 2 gay people loving each other.
His a uni tutor he should know better than to demonise people who are diffrent to him. God made us it's who we are, and you have destroyed so many LGBT peoples faith. so much that you should hang your head in shame !
He should read the rest of Romans when he says. and you who critise others you do the very same thing'
Repent of your bigotry ways because judgement is coming to you too !
