Absolutely amazing that this has got through to the public domain.
The productions are mainly narrated mixed with a little background sound. Not what I call 'full cast drama & I have over 500 full cast titles in my audio collection for comparison.

The whole set is 'amateur' the actors are not first class professionals & this shows. Unmemorable is what lasts with me. The whole thing comes across as if only 'one' actor is portraying 'all' the characters & is not making a good job of it. This is not good. I am very disappointed.

Absolutely Not For The Collector

This collection is notable for the mediocre quality of the dramatisations and narration. The Sherlock Holmes presentation at the beginning, in particular is lamentable: the actors sound as if they recorded their parts totally independently of each other, Holmes is merely passable doing an impression of Basil Rathbone, Henry Baskerville is comically nasal and his acting is dire. The crowning glory: Inspector Lestrade has a heavy French accent! It's hard to conceive that an English language speaker could have made such a massive error which leads me to believe the whole production was put together in some strange jurisdiction.

I suggest the publisher spun this together from old, unused or unusable recordings from the 50s and 60s. Then put a fancy cover on it.

Patchwork and sometimes unintentionally comical
