Are you sitting comfortably...
Like being told how to shape your thinking by a hybrid of an old school linguaphone tutor and a children's TV presenter from the 70s. Has it moments but is ever so slightly patronising.

great narrator
I don't understand the moaners about the narrator, the narration in this audiobook is top notch. The claims about how the narrator 'doesn't understand what she's reading' are just silly nonsense. Even if that were true, who cares? The job of the narrator is to narrate with a professional voice, not to be a psychology expert. Moral of the story, I prefer this narrator to many others and certainly to the authors who have the bad idea of narrating the audiobook themselves, because that NEVER works for me. I am really fussy about narration, and for every great audiobook there's a pro narrator like the one in this audiobook!

Basic introduction
I picked this up in an Audible sale. I'm interested in CBT having studied it on a part time counselling course I took a few years back.
This is a basic introduction to CBT which provides readers with practical tools to utilise some of the techniques. The writing and narration are pedestrian and matter-of-fact.
I was hoping for something a bit more in depth, inspiring and engaging.

Could not listen for long
I’ve read many types of books on CBT - some text books and some more appealing to a broad, general audience. From the few chapters of this audio book I could listen to, I think this is fairly entry-level content but that could just be that the delivery was so poor. The narrator would be far better suited to reading audio books for children, or doing story time on a kids TV channel. A very unfortunate disservice to the author and the subject matter. Very irritating to listen to.

Not suitable as an audio book
To get anything out of this book, you need the paper version as it doesn’t work as an audio book.

Doesn't work as an audio book
This is probably ok to read, but really doesn't work as an audio book . At so many points I thought I was stuck in a repetitive loop, but I think it might just be where there's lists, examples, activities read out it's disjointed, confusing .
