Summary

Icelandic sisters Áróra and Ísafold live in different countries and aren‘t on speaking terms, but when their mother loses contact with Ísafold, Áróra reluctantly returns to Iceland to find her sister. But she soon realises that her sister isn’t avoiding her...she has disappeared.

Play this at 0.9x speed!!

My first impression was that this book was read by Lauren Laverne on acid. I think the recording speed is wrong, shop I had to slow it down in case the narrator had a breakdown.

I was recommended the book by Michael Ridpath on his FB page, but it was nowhere near as good as his Fire & Ice series. I think it was missing the sense of place that his books create.. Iceland is always a character in his books.. you know where you are. In this I felt it could have been as easily set in any big city.
