About this listen
Something always goes sideways, but this is bigger than expected.
Maybe it's not an entirely bad thing, though, as mana-infected animals spreading over the world would definitely make everyone more open to the idea of the apocalypse. The question is what was Silas supposed to do about it, though.
He still couldn't tell anyone who wasn't inducted about the system. It was time to get creative. If that wasn't enough, though, he still had the wild hunt hanging over his head. Seven days to go, and then he'd be thrown into whatever twisted event the system had cooked up for him. The only good thing was that he had those seven days to train. He might not be the highest leveled of the Forerunners, but his mentor made sure he had the best foundation. He could only grow stronger from here.

female presence
dunno why mc started acting stupid after meeting Astrid. it's like all logic went out of the door. no focus, he even forgave her father for almost killing him and killing many families and dooming humanity's hope. he became cringy incarnated.

Suffers from "entourage boosting"
What is that, you say? It's when the MC gets a crew/companion(s), but he/she needs them to keep up, because story things, so the author "magically" boosts the entourage of the MC (the MC trains them or some such).
The crew is now able to keep up somewhat instead of being wet noodles. This is despite the fact that the MC is typically uniquely talented, has gone through countless deadly challenges no one else has, is fated to be great, has been at it for a lot longer (relative to crew) and has received world shaking opportunities and gained transcendent insights.
This happens to some characters in this book. They essentially go from human to not‐as-good-as-the-MC-but-close in a few days, but MC has been training nonstop for years by this time due to time dilation, so it's effing B.S. Such a trope.
I'm sure they'll get even more awesome in the next book and surprise the MC with their abilities and amazing raw talent.
Still like the series and will give the next one a chance, but I don't like this trend.
