About this listen

In this brilliantly entertaining and heartfelt memoir, beloved star and comic maverick Bob Odenkirk writes honestly about the highs and lows of showbiz: his work on infamous cult comedy Mr. Show, as a performer and writer on legendary series such as The Larry Sanders Show and Saturday Night Live, becoming everyone's favourite lawyer in global hit TV series' Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, and what it's like to reinvent himself as an action film ass-kicker at 50 in Nobody. Bob Odenkirk's career is inexplicable. And yet he will try like hell to explicate it for you....

Featuring humorous tangents, wild characters and Bob's trademark unflinching drive and humour, Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama is a classic showbiz tale told by a determined idiot.

Interesting account of American comedy

Really enjoyed, and learned from, this book. Admittedly, I was unfamiliar with a lot of Odenkirk’s earlier work, but it certainly didn’t impede my enjoyment of the book. Would recommend to anyone vaguely infested in comedy, American culture and, of course, Bob Odenkirk and his back-catalogue!

A very honest man

lovely read/listen. Self deprivation to an art. I liked this man before reading this and my opinion hasn't changed

Hardworking should be Bob's middle name

You sit and watch all these wonderful films/TV series and barely give a thought how the actors ever got their lucky breaks. But with this memoir of Bob Owenkirk you are given a full life tour how harsh it is to get your nose through the door and be successful. Please don't skip to the Breaking bad chapter without listening to what it was like for Bob who slept on sofa's to scrapping his way to the top with Better call Saul.A really enjoyable listen

Great Performance / Missing chapters

I understand this was wrote through covid hence the cut off point around 2020, but i think the book should have built & built through Bobs full career to the successful point he is at today. With the film Nobody finished and success story in reviews, Better Call Saul wrapped up and the unbelievable shoot to fame it brought. I think he should have kept hold of it and released it around about 2024 with the additional chapters in. Otherwise an excellent read and gave me lots of research material in sitcoms/sketch shows from yesteryear to check out. Great work looking forward to the re-release: Comedy, Comedy, Comedy, Drama, Drama, Drama.

I liked it

This was funny. Good. Humane and I learned a lot from it. Not better call Saul dependent, lawbreaking bad.

Nice, Nice, Nice, Burn!

It’s great to hear, In this candid autobiography, that maybe Bob isn’t quite the nice guy all the time.

It flew by, would have happily had another chapter or two.

Drama, Drama, Drama, Comedy!

Bob does a great job in telling us all about what it is about his talent and the way he always moved within the talent circle. From the story with Conan O'Brien to the great advice from Bryan Cranston, I loved every chapter. Plus, what a great narration!
