A sweet lesbian romance!
Ellie Montgomery had a secret. Beyond being a mother, a best friend, and a baker of incredible desserts, there was something deeper in her soul that she had been forced to deny. Something she had never planned on revealing. Not even to those closest to her. Then, she walked into Ellie's Diner, and everything changed.
Dr. Hunter Vale was burnt out. A recent tragedy had her re-examining her life and career. A chance meeting at a local diner showed Hunter exactly what she was missing, and she knew she would do everything she could to make her dreams a reality. The problem was, Hunter didn't know if her advances would be reciprocated. And if they were, would her past destroy the possibility of a sweet future?

Wow wow and wow what a book I laughed and cried and stayed up till late as I couldn’t stop listening ,
How there are parents that would do that to their child it beggars belief it was horrendous!!
They should have been punished for life and the vicar should have been chucked out of the church I was beside myself ,

wow
there are few books that you can love and hate, laugh and cry at, and be totally be moved by
this is not an ordinary lgbt romance, but a work of literature brilliantly written by an author I have growing respect for, some of the subject matter is quite disturbing, but handled sensitively and not for shock value
the main mcs ' are extremely likeable with a close network of friends and real family, but unfortunately life is plagued by certain humans who know nothing of humanity
the narration is superbly delivered in a tone suitable to all situations
it's a great book I highly recommend

weakest JK I have listened to.......
This is the weakest audiobook by the author I have listened to. The narrator should leave foreign accents well alone , the character Blaise in particular was painful to listen to (and difficult to decipher it was so bad) . There are some plus points the jumble of friends that pop up in just about all the books are empowering and sexy. I feel that Hunter deserved to be less whiney , she is much stronger than portrayed. I won't be listening to this audio again but appreciate the background story it provided.
