About this listen
Col. Mike Hoare's favorite book consisting of 21 short stories, giving new insight into the minds and hearts of the adventurers who became mercenary soldiers. It captures the spirit of mercenary soldiering.
©1991 Mike Hoare (P)2012 Mike HoareCritic reviews
"...Hoare, the legendary mercenary commander of Congo fame...does not fit the popular image of the mercenary who will fight for - or against - anyone for money.... In a concise, graphic way, he gives a feeling and flavour to the mercenary soldier that few others ever have...." (Peter Worthington, Editor, Ottawa Sun)
Rare insight into the life of a mercenary soldier

I'm surprised the final story alone, the recovery of the female missionary Doctor, hasn't been noticed by the movie industry.
I have also read the excellent Sechelles Affair and plan to proceed to Congo Mercenaries which I recently downloaded.
Never judge a book by it's cover (price)
