A game changer for parents!
This audiobook could well be one of the best tools at a parents disposal when it comes to understanding your child. What I really loved was how the book goes into detail on understanding how your child's brain works and how we can use this valuable information to better ourselves as parents.
The chapters on Why Kids Don't Listen and Gentle Discipline we particularly inspiring for me. It's fascinating stuff! I have a lot of friends with children so I'll be highly recommending this to them. The author has clearly has a lot of knowledge on the subject and I also liked the narrators voice.

incredible for single parents
a divorce is hard enough but adding older kids to the mix is even harder - I've been struggling to bond with my kids since splitting with my ex. I've found so many strategies that I can implement that I finally feel like I can see the light. Thank you for creating such a gem of a book.

Great tips
If you are dealing with a kid who is not listening and is testing your patience all the time, listen to this book. It will guide you on how to change the way you will react when things are messed up, not to be mad, and stay patient. The book is all about connecting with your child before trying to fix things. It is full of great tips on how to talk to them better and how they can pay attention to you without all the drama. Parenting is not easy, but books like this, make everything easier and better.

The bond is what counts to raise good kids
An evidence-based and culturally-sensitive book emphasising how bonding with children will encourage them to thrive. I like the emphasis on presence with children, really being there and not stuck in the mind. Really helpful for parents to perhaps did not enjoy this kind of relationship with their own parents, the trends in parenting having changed with the times over the last 40 some years.

Powerful, Insightful, Innovative
Overall a powerful, and innovative resource for developing a bond with your kids. Khang brings an insightful evidence based, and cultural perspective to the subject, emphasizing the importance of valuing the time you have, and getting ahead of what corrections might need to be made later. She uses wonderful examples of each step and suggestion she proposes, and the information is organized in a way that makes sense to follow.
The narrator was also engaging to listen to and easy to understand, and after listening felt we were better equipped for not only establishing a bond with our kid, but for future children as well. Would absolutely recommend to new or first time parents, or anyone in a primary care position with a child. Excellent resource.
