Summary

David A. Clarke Jr., known by many as "America's sheriff", navigates the choppy waters of race relations, religion, politics, and law enforcement, sharing what it will take to once again become a great nation under God, with liberty and justice for all.

America has become increasingly divided and polarized in recent years. With growing animosity toward law enforcement professionals, government corruption, disregard for the constitution, and racial tension thanks to the media and hate groups, there seems to be no easy answer in sight.

But Sheriff David Clarke knows where we must begin. We must stop blaming others and take ownership of our families, communities, and country. We must face our problems and turn to God for solutions.

Cop Under Fire is not a dry recitation of what has gone wrong in America. Deeply rooted in his personal life story, Sheriff Clarke's unmatched passion, conviction, and patriotism is a rallying cry for our country. "America's not perfect. But it still offers every American, black or otherwise, who is willing to work hard, the best chance of experiencing our full potential as human beings," writes Clarke. "The challenge is to work for a better future without being fixated on the ugly scars of the past."

Inspirational great story of brave man!

If you could sum up Cop Under Fire in three words, what would they be?

Practical, brave, motivational

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sheriff David Clarke Jr.

What about David A. Clarke Jr.’s performance did you like?

He is a man who believes and operates from a position of principles, common sense, and respect. He deeply understand the constitution, and is truly colour blind. I love his approach to life, and he engenders the human instinct to better one's self, and has gone about this ignoring colour as an excuse for victim-hood or failure. He views himself and others through the lens of the individual, not group or identity politics, that is so damaging for society. Amazing guy!

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The story of success, by ignoring left wing stereotypes and identity politics

Any additional comments?

I love the section where he describes listening to his hate filled voice messages, and reviews the inbound hate email. He describes the racist vitriol coming from the black community towards him with casual disdain. He is a man who truly views everyone as an individual; exactly as it should be! Terrific.
