The one case Mac Faraday didn't solve before he retired as a homicide detective was the murder of two cops on there wedding day. With the daughter of the murdered woman getting married herself Mac decides it would be a good opportunity to get the old squad back together with one final chance to solve the murders. With the wedding being hosted in his inherited inn Mac and his step brother, David, are in the perfect place to gather clues. Who was the main victim? Or were they both targets? The popular opinion was a gangster targeted the couple in revenge for arresting his son but Mac isn't so sure especially when he adds in the death of the male victims partner being gunned down a few weeks before the death. Can a cop be responsible? That the same time Mayor Gnarly the German Shepard is facing a hate campaign instigated by his neighbour and her many cats. Busy with the cold case and then a more recent murder David assigns the case to his trusted dispatcher to solve with Archie. Can the two ladies keep the mayor out of trouble?
I liked the narrator. He does some fun accents in this story.
