About this listen
From burglary to armed robbery and murder, infamous bad guy Frank Cullotta not only did it all, in Cullotta he admits to it - and in graphic detail. This no-holds-barred biography chronicles the life of a career criminal who started out as a thug on the streets of Chicago and became a trusted lieutenant in Tony Spilotro's gang of organized lawbreakers in Las Vegas. Cullotta's was a world of high-profile heists, street muscle, and information - lots of it - about many of the FBI's most wanted. In the end, that information was his ticket out of crime, as he turned government witness and became one of a handful of mob insiders to enter the Witness Protection Program.

Almost boring, even for a mafia stories fan!
The story is... Well... Quite bland, much like this comment of mine. The whole book is full of one robbery tale after another, which gets really monotonous after a while.
I have listened to many mafia audio books, including "5 families" (52 hours, enjoyed every single hour of it). This story just never gets going.
The narration isn't great either. Had the story been entertaining I would have given the narrator a pass. He isn't bad, just not as good as most other audible narrators.
Won't recommend.

WTF
A story I wanted to listen to ruined by the narrator. What on earth is he trying.
Why he couldn't just read it out without the stupid ridiculous accents. I thought the mob were white Italians. This sounds like the Italian version of new jack city.
Bit of advise. Next time read the words and leave the impressions at home.

Hilarious Narration
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Not bad content generally, although having listened to similar books like this before, it's not the best. It's a throw away read at best.
What didn’t you like about Michael Taylor’s performance?
The narration of this book is what either makes it, or breaks it for you, depending upon the viewpoint you take. I found it hilarious. Heavens knows whether this is supposed to be genuine or not. The characters are made to sound like members of a Spaghetti Western with characters from a Disney film thrown in. Tony Spillotra (or Pluto), would be turning in his shallow grave if he heard this...
Any additional comments?
You have to buy this book just to experience the narration. It's inspired in its awfulness. A shame, as this is the first audiobook I've not enjoyed so much.
