Summary
The Culture of Honor is a book of reformation. It is intended to disrupt our current model of authority. Jesus put it like this in Matthew 20:25-26: "But Jesus called them to Himself and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. Those with power must learn to empower those around them or we will never build Heaven on the Earth."

Good book, but let down by Audible.
Great book with loads of thought provoking material, will refer back to it again. Great reading too. Occasionally I thought it came across a little Bethal Church has it all sorted, but on the whole it was a good book. I guess Danny can only write about his experiences, which centre around his church.
The loss of a star was because the PDF which is referred to several times, that should have come with the audiobook, as per text of book, was not included with the book. I contacted Audible who passed me around the houses, but failed to provide said PDF.

transformation through honor
changing the culture in the places that we minister is a road worth travelling in this journey of bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth and this book stirs up this realisation God honoured us by the Cross and we are now FREE of the law of sin and death. It is time to scrap the age long and cemented habits and core values that do not bring honor to ourselves and to God, it is time to release the life of God into our homes, workplaces and churches through this culture of honor, it is time for us to invite people into the experience of God's love and generosity and equip them to do the same, and it is definitely time to make heaven on earth out new reality!

Really enlightening
I really enjoyed this book. It’s very easy to listen to but it gently deals with healthy confrontation which is so important. This book demonstrates a lot grace and it’s refreshing as it stands out legalism.

Eye-opening with relatable examples
This book brought a whole new perspective to what love looks like and how to encourage behavioural shifts without guilt shame and trauma getting a foot in.
very practical with plenty of examples from real life.
At first I disagreed but gradually saw the wisdom of the approach as I realised I had been so closed minded and knew only the ways of religion and what it "called" grace - but wasn't living out the transformational reality of actual grace which invites people (both ourselves and others) into the opportunity to change without shame and Humility.
