Summary

Three tales so awful, they'll make you want to wash your mind out with soap.

"The best thing I've read since the Farmer's Almanac!" (Unreliable source)

Snow White and the mini golf course? Frankenstein meets Soylent Green? An avid reader trapped in an Edgar Allan Poe nightmare?

These stories aren't normal.

Listen today and hear why listeners are calling it, "Ludicrous. Hilarious. Almost life-changing. Almost."

Like a stew, where you don't know what's in it, you don't know why you're eating it, but you can't stop. You’ll even ask for thirds.

A brilliant boxset of a funny trilogy. Buy for a giggle!

I explored this boxset of books as the audiobook, well read by David S. Dear, who does a mean serious voice despite it being so funny it had me in stitches! I loved his silly voices that made it easy to differentiate between characters, and he really brought the stories to life. I love this series, and these books are no exception - funny, very tongue-in-cheek, and keep you hooked to the very end. And with each being standalone stories, you don't need to read (or listen!) to any previous tales to enjoy any others - though I highly recommend them all! I can't wait to read (or hopefully listen to!) the next instalment in the series!
NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions
Individual books:
D - Dwarf (5*)
This is so funny, an adult twist on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, but told from the point of one of the dwarves, all of whom have very different (and funny!) names, as these are the rejects from the Disney version. It's also got a different location and storyline, but you can definitely see the seeds of the original scattered through it. I absolutely loved this story, and it had me laughing so hard I had to pause it at times! Highly recommended reading or listening!
E - Eyeball (4*)
This book is a very funny read, based on the works of Edgar Alan Poe. However, even if you haven't read them all (I certainly haven't!) you will still enjoy it. I love the rhyming verse which leads you through the story, and the narrator's speed and inflections keep the pace and tone of the story moving through the audiobook, whilst making it easy to understand. Very enjoyable.
F - Frank (5*)
I loved this story, which was very different to what you might think it would be! With Frankenstein's monster being created and brought to life right at the start of the book, you might wonder where it has to go? To a weird and wacky world only this author can create, that's where!! I loved this story, it was my favourite of the three in the boxset. I also liked the slightly open-ended finish to it, giving the option to come back to it, and leaving the reader wondering what happens next! But can I ask, was it only me who thought of the police chief from the Simpsons when encountering the police chief at the end of the book?! Anyway, I loved this book, and it's an awesome read or listen that I highly recommend to any adult... as long as you're not squeamish!
