About this listen
When Darcy and Lizzy meet at the Meryton assembly, Darcy is already engaged to another woman, and Lizzy has suffered the loss of someone she once loved. How will they find their way to each other, with these obstacles, and so many more, standing in their way?

I have listened to this narrator before and she is really good. She gives the characters there own personality. She also laughs, coughs, cries, etc when the characters do , this gave them more of a 3D effect.I gave the story itself three stars because I found Darcy to be a bit weak in this book. Caroline at first sounded like the original then I found her to be unrealistic for that era. In the Jane Austin book she would have stuck to him and wouldn't have let him go. This Caroline is more heartless and ambitious. I wouldn't have minded so much if Darcy acted more like Darcy of the original. I felt he didn't try hard enough to win Elizabeth over. The original Darcy wouldn't have cared what people thought of him and he would reply back even to those he knew yet in this book he didn't do much of this. I liked the plot I thought it was interesting but not so much the characters.
The author I noticed used (1/2) American words like the fall which I know we in England do not use. It was mentioned quite a few times as well.
However, I still liked it and I would still recommend it.
I was given this free review copy audio book and have voluntarily left this review.
Not a bad variation.
