Summary

A small mountain town hides a dark secret....

When his father's death brings Grant Shipman to the Appalachian town of Wallen's Gap, he believes his biggest problem will be dealing with the slow pace and odd townsfolk. But something sinister is at work. A dark power rises, an echo of the town's bloody past. A book of blood magic offers an unspeakable horror a gateway into the world of the living, and only Grant stands in the way of their "Dark Rite."

What a story!

When Trenton‘s daddy dies, a man he really didn’t know. He hast to travel down to Appalachia to clean out this house and ready to sell. Unfortunately there is a hierarchy in the town that wants something from him at first he’s not sure what it is. While sitting in Joe’s Café, he is looking at one of the many religious books as Daddy has in the home and in it he finds a picture. Obviously looking over his shoulder the girl sitting in the booth behind him gets upset and this is all he is introduced to carry. At first she wants nothing to do with them, but then order a second meeting let down her guard only to be interrupted by her country bumpkin boyfriend. This is the point where hell is beginning to be unleashed. One clue leads to another and another and eventually having befriended Carrie, they both ride to the nearest college to all the way to speak to a professor. He is scared to talk at the school and tells them to meet him at his house, but unfortunately he will die before even leaving the campus. Trenton and Carry both know it’s related to their visit to him, but when Carrie Goes missingIt’s up to Trenton to find her, but when he does will he be able to defeat what he’s confronted with? This book was really good I read it in one sitting and didn’t want to stop. Although you thank you know what’s going to happen you will be surprised. There is so much more to the story than the short summary I gave above and even though it looks like you now know the details trust me when I say you do not. They have big corn fed country bumpkins that are The preachers sons, they are not spreading the Holy Ghost. This book was really good and I know I said that but I highly recommend it to anyone who likes horror and mystery because it has both. Please forgive any grammatical errors as I am blind and you

I didn't know what to expect when I started this book and was surprised with the way it went. It is an unusual story that kept my interest throughout. I think others will enjoy it as long as they appreciate stories with a slightly supernatural bent.

Satanic rituals and demons

I loved this story and found it hard to put down.
An innocent trip unveils dark secrets.
This book reminded me of the novels written by Dennis Wheatley, such as ; To the Devil, A Daughter and The Devil Rides Out.
Recommended for mystery, romance and the occult.
Well narrated.
