Eines Tags, kurz vor Weihnachten, hat sie das Leben als Ladentürglöckchen satt. Sie springt ab und fällt den Kindern Ina und Alex vor die Füße, oder besser: in die Hände. Denn Ina und Alex bringen das Glöckchen nicht in den Laden zurück, sie lassen sich vielmehr auf ein aufregendes Abenteuer mit dem übermütigen Glöckchen ein. Auf ungewöhnliche Weise machen sie dabei Bekanntschaft mit dem Weihnachtsmann und seinem brummigen Knecht Ruprecht, landen - ehe sie sich's versehen - auf den Weihnachtsinseln ...
