Dreadful narrator

Unfortunately the narrator was appalling- stopping mid sentence, and starting again as though it was a new sentence. Very confusing and in the end so annoying I had problems following the plot. She should go back to school and learn to read out loud again. Pronunciation was appalling too

Such an easy listen and really like the narrator.

Always great stories by Rachel. Looking forward to listening to book 4. Clare always reads with lovely pronunciation and feels the story.

Not her best

This dragged for me, Kelly’s personal issues with her sister and mother continue, and Kelly also finds out her mother has been keeping a secret
Also, the locals are shocked at the discovery of the death of a wealthy resident, which may or may not be suicide. The discovery of a murdered young girl, along with the disappearance of a couple of other girls, leads to a deep investigation.

Good

I am glad I persevered with these books, I love the main character even though she so has some unlikable traits. Less graphic than the first which I prefer. Overall I like the performance, although sometimes a little flat. I will continue to listen to more.

Brilliant as usual

Love it when you find a writer and series with several books already published. I've finished 3 books in the last 2 weeks and loved them all.
I love that Kelly Porter is good at her job, healthy and has a happy love life. Usually, a female lead needs to have some emotional issues and an addiction of some sort to seem real. Kelly Porter has family issues, but seems to deal with these through positive ways such as running, hiking or counselling from Johnny rather than binge drinking and pain killers. Hope this continues as it's a breath of fresh air.
