Summary
Someone has turned Stella’s friend into a living bomb. Can she defuse him before he destroys the city?
Something is very wrong with Detective David Tyler. A creature of immense power has changed him; transformed him into a walking apocalypse.
And the worst part? It's all Stella’s fault. She meddled with the dark arts and opened the door to the evil inside of David.
People are scared. They want David dealt with before he turns London into a smoking crater, and they’re ready to put him down like a dog to do it.
Can Stella fend them off and find a way to save her friend before he goes supernova, or is a city about to pay the price for her mistake?
Mystery, scares, and fast-paced action collide in this thrilling urban fantasy series. Listen to Deadly Portent now for a pause-resisting tale of magic and mayhem you cannot put down.

Another action packed hit
I loved this book, in fact I loved the whole series and I just hope there is a lot more books to come. There was so much going on, with this book that it sure takes you on a magical adventure. The characters are what makes it so great from the witty banter to always doing what is right, well nearly always right, to even the two bouncers repeating each other's sentences it all works well together. It is a good combination of magic, mystery and suspense and In my opinion made for tv.
In trying to help David, Stella a witches familiar and the last protection London has against evil, has unleashed a ticking time bomb. Somehow normal Police Detective David has magic growing inside him, black magic, magic that will literally kill him and destroy London. The rest of the uncanny can sense the change and power in him and turn against Stella in her effects to save him. At the same time a monster is killing people by draining them dry. Can Stella find a killer as well as save her friends life? With her witches dead who can she turn to in her time of need? Another familiar who with no coven of her own to help wanders from city to city stopping at all the pubs along the way? In this crisis Stella will take all the help she can get, anything so she won't have to be the one to end David's life.
I really like the narrator. I might even leave my normal genre of book if I know she is reading it because as I have discovered she can transport you anywhere for a few hours and I love getting lost in a good book.

Another great tale
Deadly Portent is another great addition to this series. The action is just as thrilling as before, the tale just as intriguing, and Heather Tracy's narration skills just as fabulous. I'm not going to say anything about the story as I don't want to give anything away, but if you enjoy urban fantasy, you should definitely check out this series.

Another great audiobook
Deadly Portent, the third book in the London Coven series, is perhaps my favourite so far. I love the narrator's voices, always recognisable as the character. I must admit, I really had no idea where this story would end up, and that's great. Kept me guessing the outcome right to the end. Bravo to the author.
