Summary
Meet Detective Inspector Dan Hellier, a man who needs to redeem his career and catch a killer.
Soon after DI Hellier returns home to Exeter under a cloud, the body of a talented young singer is found in the woods. When her death reveals links to the boss of a recording studio, a predatory gang and a school music teacher, Hellier knows he has his work cut out. the unfolding of horror without being unnecessary graphic
cleverly written leading the listener this way & that & painting colourful pictures of the various characters both good, vulnerable and bad. The narration was brilliant

Clever story
I liked the characters and it was a nice complicated plot. I really enjoyed the twists and turns, and the main character is likeable. The narrator is excellent, you always know who’s talking. Even better it’s part of Plus so didn’t have to use precious credits. Highly recommend

entertaining
Good tale and not a bad reader. More than a little artistic license taken with police procedures. I can't ever see a armed officer shooting an unarmed suspect to stop them from escaping. But still good story and worth a listen.

Brilliant! Great action story, dark humour & brought to life by a great narrator.
This was a free book but lived it so much I’m now going to listen to the others in the series using credits.

Great storytelling
I took this from the free section of Audible but it was absolutely gripping. Well written really recommend. Easy listening and great plot twists and turns. Will be looking for more of her books!
