Judy and Lily are on the case
I enjoyed this book. This is the third book in the series (if you don't count the prequel) and I think it is my favourite so far. Mainly because although I like the characters, this book was all about the mystery. Which was well worked, with plenty of twists, as like the main characters I tried to figure it out. I never did come up with the right answer despite the clues. The story is fairly short compared to other stories in this genre but the author packs a lot in and keeps it interesting. I like the characters and think Lily and Judy make a great team although there was hardly any home life drama and certainly not as much romance as in the first book. The dogs on the covers of the books are cute but hardly play a role in the stories, I still enjoyed it and think it is a fun series to fill a few hours with. Off to start the next book.
When Chase is arrested for killing his flatmate his boss Lily and her daughter Judy jump into action to prove his innocence. The only way to do that is question the victims quirky neighbours and reluctant family and try to find the real killer. The man wasn't well liked and didn't have many friends but finding what he did in the days leading up to death could point them in the right direction.
I liked the narrator, it's an unusual choice to go with a male narrator when the two main characters are female but some how he makes it work. The one thing I wasn't to keen on was the Long pauses he gave while giving you the recipe for something I would probably never make, but that is my personal opinion and you might like it as it gave you time to write it down. I must admit I skipped over that so I could start the next book quicker.

Bainbridge Island
This is another cracking listen from Dennis Shock. It is well written and action packed from page 1, the plot is intricate enough to keep you guessing all the way through this edge of the seat thriller. Will they be able to prove Chase's innocence and catch the real killer? Geoff Moons narration is top notch which all adds up to a very entertaining few hours. Highly Recommended. I look forward to many more listens in the series.
