After living and working for three winters in Yellowstone's Lamar Valley, Rick and his wife, Mary, long to go deeper into Yellowstone. Finally, they trust Yellowstone's pull, leave the security of their Oregon life, and relocate to Gardiner, just outside the park's north gate. Their year of immersion begins.

Immensely educational until....
Great description of the environmental impact of removing one piece of the ecological jigsaw and how a great united effort brought certain parts back to life. Unfortunately the 'now I'm living here the doors should be shut' (OK monitored) is a little too holier than thou! The last few chapters of preaching grated tbh!

Fluctuating volume makes this unlistenable
I didn't get very far with this story. The audio volume fluctuating all the time from normal volume to very very quiet and back again was frustrating
