Hugo Laurenz August Hofmann, Edler von Hofmannsthal (1874 - 1929) war ein österreichischer Schriftsteller, Dramatiker, Lyriker, Librettist sowie Mitbegründer der Salzburger Festspiele. Er gilt als einer der wichtigsten Repräsentanten des deutschsprachigen Fin de Siècle und der Wiener Moderne.
