Der Hunger treibt Heffs Angestellten schlussendlich zum Kühlschrank der Vermieterin, die von diesem Akt des Mundraubs allerdings alles andere als begeistert ist. Um die Situation zu entschärfen, bietet Heff in einem Wettbewerb unter seinen Angestellten eine Gehaltserhöhung an, die ausreichen sollte, um Nahrungsmittel für alle einzukaufen. Doch dieser Wettbewerb läuft - wie sollte es auch anders sein - ganz anders ab als vermutet...
