Summary
Blasphemy...abomination...disgrace...I've heard these words my entire life, and never believed I would ever be allowed to find my other half. The Trials are your one shot every 25 years to find your forever. Here's the kicker: A female Nephilim isn't allowed to revel her wings till the trials. Do you know what it's like to have wings and not be allowed to fly or expose them? It absolutely sucks.
When the moment finally arrives and I get my card, guess who ends up in my life? An Archangel, and Angel, a Nephilim that can't talk and the son of Death himself. Dark Nephilim hate everyone, and Cyrus doesn't make loving him easy.
New bonds are tested when one of my guys is abducted and taken to hell. We're in a race against time to save him and me in the process. My true lineage is laid out before me, and I'm shook.
The path before me is perilous, and I may not survive it. But, I have to try. Love is the only thing worth fighting for.

Great PNR
Being a nephilim Thana has not been allowed to show her wings until now when her 4 mates are chosen. Now she has to learn to fly , find out who’s trying to kill her and her mates and deal with Cyrus her dark mate who seems to want nothing to do with her . I really enjoyed listening to this and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Brilliant first in series
Brilliant new series from Serenity Rayne. Thana has is half light half dark Nephilim and as such she has been treated with suspicion by the other angels. She is sweet and vunreable. But with an inner strength with she will need to survive.
Her mates adore her and seek only to keep her safe and happy. But there are others who fear her and wish to destroy both Thana and her mates..
The narration is spot on, I am off to read the rest of this series.

Paranormal Romance
Discovered by Serenity Rayne is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Allyson Voller and Christian Black. This is the first book in The Dark Angel Chronicles.
This is the first book of Serenity's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that is blooming between Thana, Raphael, Christian, Gage, and Cyrus. I can't wait for the next book in the series Innate to be released on audio so I can get more of their story.
Allyson and Christian did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like paranormal romances, fantasy romances, reverse harem romances, or occult romances.

Absolutely gripping
I’ve not enjoyed a paranormal book this much for ages. This book has hit all the good marks needed. I can’t wait for the next book. These characters have so much more to give. A brilliant performance from both narrators.

Enjoyed it
Discovered was my first book by Serenity Rayne and I loved it. The author created a fabulous world with Nephilim, Angels and Fallen that was creative and had me hooked from beginning to end. This is a why choose romance and while the guys were all protective over her, I can't wait to see how their relationship evolves as the series progresses. The story gave us action, romance, mystery and some secrets being revealed and I can't wait to see what's coming next. It was a great start to this series and I would recommend it to paranormal romance lovers.
I listened to the audible version of this novel and I loved it. The narrators did a great job with giving the characters their own voice and emotions. Their voices were clear and understandable and they made it an enjoyable listening experience.

Fast paced paranormal romance
If you are looking for a quick and easy paranormal romance listen then this is the one. The plot is interesting but as this is very fast paced I felt that I was missing some of the context and mythology once it got started. There is not a lot of world building which is a pity as the parts I did hear made me want to know more. The mate trials for example had such a huge build up in the prologue but were over and done so quickly that it lost some of the tension in the story. Establishing the bonds also felt rushed and there isn't an awful lot of scenes where you see the relationships between Thana and the men develop individually (at one point I thought Azrael was going to replace Cyrus in the bond as he seemed to be on page more often). Raphael arguably gets a pass as he seemed to be the character with the most developed relationship and I'm hoping that the others get the same in the next book.
The narrators worked well together. Allyson Voller has such a rich voice and I enjoyed her performance as Thana. Christian Black is a new to me narrator and he had me sucked in from chapter two. I struggled a little to differentiate between some of the characters as the book went on but it was still an enjoyable listen.
My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read
