Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
This Penguin Classic is narrated by Mark Gatiss, who also wrote the screen play for the critically acclaimed BBC adaptation. Gatiss has also had an extensive acting career including roles in Sherlock, which he wrote alongside Steven Moffat, The League of Gentlemen and Wolf Hall.
When Jonathan Harker visits Transylvania to help Count Dracula with the purchase of a London house, he makes a series of horrific discoveries about his client. Soon afterwards, various bizarre incidents unfold in England: an apparently unmanned shipis wrecked off the coast of Whitby; a young woman discovers strange puncture marks on her neck; and the inmate of a lunatic asylum raves about the 'Master' and his imminent arrival. In Dracula, Bram Stoker created one of the great masterpieces of the horror genre, brilliantly evoking a nightmare world of vampires and vampire hunters and also illuminating the dark corners of Victorian sexuality and desire.

A classic
A classic book that has been brought to life beautifully, the characterisations of Mena and Van Helsing were just fabulous.

Mark Gatiss is Awesome as is Bram Stokers Novel.
A tale of a beautiful enchanted nightmare but written in the compelling tone of a gothic masterpiece. To get the full true story of Dracula then the original story which Bram Stoker wrote and Mark Gatiss skilfully narrates is a dream to behold. Mark Gatiss voices the characters with a profound and much deeper love of his favourite novel as the book’s characters mystically come to life to face the undead threat where love is one of the powers at the heart of this tale.

Terrific!
I loved every second of this. The narration is excellent. The telling of the story from the different diary entries works like a charm. Its engaging, suspensful and terriying in places. My heart dared not to beat at a normal pace the whole time i was listening. I highly recommend, definitely one everyone should read at least once.

An epic
I really enjoyed this book. Stoker put together a tense story expertly transmitted on audible. A classic not to be missed - so much more meaningful than the film.

Just perfect.
I knew that the narrator, Mark Gatiss, is a fan of the gothic style, but I wondered whether he would be too over the top in narrating this. However, he did a wonderful job, pitched just right. His narration is so good that I frequently forgot I was listening to just one person. Gatiss seems to have a real respect for the material and brings out all the nuances which can be missed when focusing on the horror part of the story. I would definitely buy more audio books by this narrator.

Astounding, smooth, picturesque
The almost ASMR quality of Gatiss' narration does well to justice such an deservingly authoritative novel of the gothic genre, Bram Stoker's pinnacle work, the irreverent Dracula. So unsullied by time and change, and yet so telling of the contemporary story, this book brings the reality and the fiction into the here and the now. 100% I would recommend this edition of the book, over any other.

Fantastic narration of a classic horror!
It is a brilliant story, encompassing much of the psychological and cultural conflicts (perhaps afflictions) of its time, including the author’s own.
Thanks for reading, Mr Gattis! I will try not to have nightmares!
