About this listen
Arulean Black has never quite been the same since the wars that devastated dragon-kind, decimating their numbers and forcing them into hiding. He lost many loved ones and watched the weredragon race crumble, all the while unable to stop these events from happening. With the distance between him and his mate further than ever, Arulean lives as a shadow of his former self, drifting from one day to the next and haunted by the guilt of their history. When the last of the Elders dies, Arulean decides it is time to call for a Summit, a meeting of all the dragon kings across the globe, to determine what their future will hold. He is determined to keep the peace, while his mate tries to rally support for revenge. The problem? He feels like a living ghost. What he doesn't expect? To meet a young omega with fire in his heart and heat in his eyes who makes him feel alive again.
Rajiah Bronze has never quite felt like he belongs. He's never appreciated the company of other dragons, and despite his mother's urging, never felt the desire to have a mate. He's all but convinced he doesn't want one. He spends most of his days traveling the world and living among lesser shifters. He finds their presence much more calming than that of dragon-kind. However, when his mother dies, he's given the task of bringing her ashes to the Summit. The problem? His older sister is pressuring him to find a mate. What he doesn't expect? To fall completely head-over-heels for the powerful and elusive dragon king, Arulean Black.
There are certain lines they shouldn't cross, but those, coincidentally, are the exact lines that might be worth crossing after all.

Answered many questions about what happened
First let me state my biggest peeve on many of the ebooks and audiobooks and that is the sex scenes. Being a gay man for many years I am disgusted with many authors are doing and that making the male who is the submissive into a person wets himself or preludes himself before sex. if I wanted to read or hear of it I would be reading non MM books. I feel the authors do it to be able to just go in and change the male to a female and sale more books.
Now for this audiobook I really enjoyed it as I did the whole series except for the above item above and I found it in all the books that why I can only give it 3 stars to the seri5 for story. If that was not in here it would have gotten 5 stars on everything. The one thing it was the story of Arulean and Rajiah how they met and how they fell into love with each other why Arulean could not mate due to Rajiah sister and Arulean mate. Also you learn what the war and purge was and why it happen and consequences almost a total destruction of the dragon community and how Arulean saved the dragons but lost his love of his mate till Rajiah came into his life not only saving the dragons but all paranormal beings.
If you do not have the same peeve as me I do highly recommend this series.

pretty ok story
I always enjoy listening or reading the different takes on Dragons and other shifters. Sometime the lore in the stories are incentive and sometimes they are tried and true. The lore in this story was kind of in the middle.
Both the author and the narrator are new to me. I found this book to be a pretty ok story. Entertaining with a good performance by the narrator.
I will definitely read other books by this author
