El Greco es, en cambio, un personaje de talla incomparable e imprevisible. Se ha dicho muchas veces que a pesar de su ascendencia cretense, el Greco tiene más de veneciano y de español, porque fue en estos países donde realizó su tarea pictórica, su formación como pintor.
