Magnificent and fantastic collection!

Wow! I've already had the pleasure of listening to various mythological collections published by Chronos Publishing, and each one has been a true delight.

And now this dreamlike gem arrives, taking us once again to dive into the folklore of human imagination itself. Here we have three phenomenal fantasy works to enjoy while sipping a delicious cup of coffee or hot chocolate.

I was familiar with Edith Nesbit, but I hadn’t had the pleasure of reading her. As for the other two authors, they were a complete discovery.

I just want to add that if you are a lover of folklore and fantasy, this work will not leave you indifferent. I hope many more people give it a chance.

And the narrator? A joy to listen to in every new releases!

¡Wow!

A detailed, well researched gem.

This is an updated review after a mistake of my own. This book is another shining example from a very dedicated team who refuse to let our shared past be lost from our future. It covers in great detail (despite the already scarce remaining sources) the myths held all over the world as well as the ways they were interpreted at the time.
We get to hear of the of the animals humans have associated with the moon for example which were eye opening in themselves. But also importantly the texts covered give a lot of insight into how the myths and the people who told them were seen at the time. This collection is not in the vein of Stephen Fry for example whos wonderful books are more an expression of enthusiasm for Greek myth and making the more difficult text accessible to modern minds. These fantastic collections are aimed at preserving the original texts themselves as well, which with AI trying to rewrite history and fiction to be more palatable than real, is of greater importance than ever before.
The narrator is different also as the goal is to retell and shed light on these overlooked areas. He does so with a clear and calm voice which is always perfectly steady to avoid sudden volume jumps as well.
So far I have listened through twice and will be doing so again as theres always something new to pick up, either in my interpretation or in the minute details themselves.
I highly recommend this collection to all as even if the material sometimes feels offensive or challenging it's important for us to experience these feelings and thoughts too. These recordings tell us so much about myths and beliefs of others but also tell us about ourselves and that is something everyone needs.
Please try these books about real people for real people! You will not be disappointed 😌
