About this listen

Badly edited and narrated
As on the date of this review (18/07/2024 the book title on Audible,co,uk is, literally, "Episodios nacionales: 9 de Marzo y 2 de Mayo", which contains a typo. It should be "19 de Marzo", ten days later(!). The fact that the book cover contains a typo tells you all you need to know about the quality contorl on the production and editing process on this audiobook. The narrator has a very pleasant deep voice, but reads like a total new comer to the book (and to Madrid), pausing as if a sentence was completed and then resuming when (upon turning the page, I guess) discovering that it continues. This happens many times. Plus, the chapter numbers have been inserted into the audio in a weird way, and there are occasional messy edits elsewhere. A pity that the recording is such low quality, as the story itself is great.
