Poor pronunciation of Welsh place names
Gripping read - which is let down by reader's poor pronunciation of Cymru and Welsh place names. This failing got in the way of the early part of the story.

good story excellent narrator.
couldn't stop listening. a book that has 3D characters who hold the reader's sympathy.
sometimes confused as to which character is speaking - only fault with narrator's performance.
crisp, short sentences full of description, sometimes feeling a bit overdone. ending rather unsatisfactory - but then that's life.
overall, good listen.

Better than "The Husband's Secret"
Part suspense, part Whodunnit, part sensitive examination of the frailties that exist in families, this is a poetic and absorbing story that is written with skill and sensitivity. Where truth and secrets are buried and their sudden revelation throws family members reeling in all directions like debris from a plane crash.
Similar in scope, but very different in plot, to "The Husband's Secret", "Falling" is the better written novel, with more sympathetic characters and a less predictable climax.
An underated audio book that will keep you guessing...

Depressing and predictable but well read
What did you like best about Falling? What did you like least?
Good lord this book was depressing. Please only listen to this if you are in an incredibly positive and happy place. Otherwise, hide the razors before hitting play. Very well performed by the reader which was the only good thing. It has a twist but you could see it coming from a different continent.
What could Emma Kavanagh have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Cheer up a bit
Did Falling inspire you to do anything?
Yes but I hid my razors after chapter one so thankfully I didn't do it.
Any additional comments?
I'd listen to the reader again and again but won't be reading any more from this author.

Narrator - do your research!!
Only a short review as I am only half way through this book. The thing that is driving me mad is the incredibly poor research carried out by the narrator. This book is set around South Wales, but the pronunciation of the River Tawe, Jet Cymru and other Welsh names are completely wrong. Why not choose a Welsh narrator!?!? Makes me cringe every time an example comes up. Lazy.
Grrrrrr.
Good story though - shame about the above.

Interesting reading
Usually I do not like time travel, but in this book it was very interestingly described and played out. The story gave me a lot to think about. I liked this book a lot.

Dreadful Welsh Accents
The actor who voiced this book is obviously talented but her Welsh accents and pronouncements were dreadful- for a book set in Wales surely an actual Welsh actor would have been a wiser choice? It spoilt the book for me.

Great easy listen
A first for me from both the author and narrator and I must say a good find.
Narrator very easy to listen to and good story. Not my usual dark thriller but nonetheless still enjoyed it!
