About this listen
Christian Book Award Finalist - Audio - 2022!!!
It’s hard to overestimate the importance of the family, and that of fathers in particular. We’ve heard it said, “As the family goes, so goes the nation.” But it can also be said that “as the father goes, so goes the family.” Consequently, Voddie Baucham has set out to teach men how to faithfully shepherd their families.
Derived from Baucham’s monthly meetings with men in his church, Family Shepherds calls men to accountability for their God-given responsibilities in their homes. Baucham’s clear style and practical approach will spur men to protect their marriage, raise kingdom-minded children, value the synergy between church and home, and navigate difficult family dynamics.
Family Shepherds is a book for any husband or father looking to lead well, and it will serve as an excellent resource for churches looking to equip the men in their congregations.

A must have for any man of God but especially for the fatherless!
A manageable size of book that can be helpful in a busy life of a new husband or soon to be fathers or a single parent. As you start a new chapter this books gives valuable points to references-experiences, insightful truths from the word of God and immersed in reformed theology. The book is beautifully written and structured and does not forget the fatherless, who can gain so much if they find themselves in the privileged role of a Shepard! Thank you Dr. Voddie Baucham JR. and team!
God bless 🙏

Powerful, biblical teaching
This book provides some very challenging and though provoking teaching. But it is grounded in biblical truth.
It’s well written and easy to follow, with a good narrator.

Engaging narration of an excellent book
Having heard Voddie Baucham speak, I was expecting the narration to fall flat but Preston Butler was up to the challenge and narrated powerfully a formidable book. With my busy life and reading regime, I try to limit each book to one chapter per day but this one I could let run for the duration. Gonna get my wifey to listen to it and work out a plan that’s less haphazard than me teaching the kids on the nights I’m not working late.
Lots of great thoughts and brilliant observations; Enjoy!!
