Summary

An epidemic is overloading Baltimore hospitals, and this time the vampires are finding themselves susceptible. Those infected are unable to control their hunger, crazed and insatiable no matter how much blood they consume. The timing couldn't be worse, with a rival Balaj in town for a feast - a rival that would be happy to take advantage of the situation and wrestle control of the Baltimore territory from Dario and his family.

As the Baltimore's Templar, Aria must find out who - or what - is responsible and stop them, before the entire city is at death's door, all while prepping for the Halloween ritual to rid herself of a demon's mark on both her skin and her soul.

Series is getting better and better

Brief synopsis: Aria's town is attacked by a plague demon which fills hospitals and ERs with desperately sick people. On top of this, there's a sickness that affects vampires as well as humans, and the death toll rises. As usual, Aria has to juggle several balls, a couple of chainsaws, invading vampires from another territory, and a mage, all the while trying to find ways that don't involve lopping off someone's head with Trusty, her Templar sword.

This book gets positively steamy in places - Aria gives in to the wild attraction to Dario, her favourite vampire. It's probably a bit clichéd, but it's great that the love interests don't spend the entire series dancing around each other. This way, we will see how on earth Aria's going to square the circle of accepting the basic nature of vampires.

It's a fun book and the narration is great. Can't wait for the next in the series!

spent this weekend binging the entire series up until this book. I don't regret a single moment.

including the raunchy moments when I was in the supermarket.

Wonderful conclusion to the series

Even more emotional rollercoaster than before with a few shocking moments. I’ve said it before but Elizabeth Phillips’ narration.was awesome! Her range of voices, Male and female is impressive. Such a great story, I honestly shed a tear or two and had baited breath a few times as well. I loved, loved, loved the epilogue.
One small criticism is too much repetition Debra Dunbar, ok you need to recap the previous books, but not the previous chapter. We are listening!
Definitely a series I’ll listen to again.
