Summary
Loving a man known for his wealth, arrogance, and power had been a mistake. My head had known he was dangerous, but my heart hadn’t cared. When the lies began to unravel and the truth slapped me in the face, running was the only thing I knew to do. I didn’t belong in this world.
His world.
But you don’t run from The Family. Not when they claim you as their own. Trusting anyone is a mistake. Friendship is only as deep as the Boss allows it to be. You are never hidden. They will always find you.
Every move I made, he controlled. The people helping me were all under his command. The only weapon I had was his obsession with me. Learning to use it against him could destroy me, but I had no other choice.

The emotions between Blaise and Maddy are hot!
Well Maddy is very emotionally hurt and is away from Blaise, she thinks she is just with Saxon, then he returns to the ranch and she hears noises. hearing her anguish through to live through audible was incredible.
Thinking she’s on her own she’s surprised to find Huck, one of Blaise’s men has been sent to watch over her and he has been there the whole time! Hearing Huck for the first time was fabulous.
She gets sick and Huck asks her when he last period was, she is annoyed and alarmed he would ask such a personal question.
Blaise however is getting angsty and longs to see the woman he’s obsessed over for years and he doesn’t stay away for long. Their conversations come alive and you can really understand the characters when you hear them.
When he arrives at the place where Madeline is he’s shocked to see her looking so ill and although she’s still mad at him, it’s not long before the pair are back together.
There’s still the question who tipped Maddy off about what really happened to her stepfather and stepbrother. Blaise knows that there’s a traitor in their midst has got to be someone within his inner circle. He thinks he knows who it is but he needs to prove it!
We also discovers the reason for her continued nausea, just when things are setting once more the traitor acts again and Madeline is abducted again. She is abducted this time it’s to meet her real father.
Maddy comes into her own, she’s a fireball, managing her man with ease. Blaise is like putty with her! She gets away with things his team have never seen him allow before!
A brilliant storyline, great characters and I cannot wait for Huck and Trinity to come alive with sound!
