About this listen
I did something I had never done before.
I had a one-night stand.
Then in true me fashion, I left my phone at his house during my desperate venture to escape.
I tried hard to ignore the texts sent to my best friend’s phone....
Amethyst: Sup, these selfies are cute as shit, but your lips looked better wrapped around my...
I did not text him back.
I did vow to never speak of him or that night again....
I’m Amethyst Lily Tatum, and up until this point, I’d managed to maintain a fairly low-key life. I’m what you would call a socially unacceptable hot mess. Instead of partying, I’m skating, flipping ollies over guys who loved to underestimate me. Then I started college, met a wild girl who I would soon call my best-friend, had my first drunk one-night stand, left my phone at his house, and then, when I finally managed to meet my mom’s new boyfriend, I found out that my one-night stand was now my new stepbrother.
This is a stand-alone novel.

Soulmates!
This is proof no matter the age, when you know, you know. Amethyst and Maddox met when they were seven. Unsuspecting of the reason their parents met regularly, the two had an instant connection. As the years went by and they no longer saw each other, there was always that lingering pull of knowing you found the one. When they met again in college and found out about their parents' past, things changed. Now they are step-siblings. But the push pull of their relationship doesn't change and they know regardless of their now familial connection, their hearts tell them something else. That is until the unthinkable happens. And they are separated. Is it for good? Will the decisions made change the course of their lives? Amo Jones takes us on a wild ride, from amazing passion, to parenthood, from fame to kidnapping, and from pain and suffering to unending love. It's packed with angst and a bit of suspense. It hits all the emotions and had me needing to know how it was all finally going to be resolved. Not the Jones darkness I am used to, but a fantastic look at what the heart wants and what the heart needs. It's a great listen.
Logan Anare and Victoria Connelly are our narrators, and they bring out all the feels for this. From the rage and anguish Maddox feels to the pain and love Amethyst has, these shine with emotions and had my heart reeling. It's a wonderful story telling and one that should not be missed.

Maddox and Amethyst
Flip Trick was an entertaining and intriguing story! This is a second-chance, step-brother romance with plenty of emotion. Maddox and Amethyst had a love / hate relationship and the push and pull throughout the storyline worked and had me wanting to keep listening! I loved how Amethyst was not the typical romance heroine but one who loves skateboarding and doing her own artistic thing. There were some sweet moments and some moments I wanted to throw my kindle and just heartbroken for Amethyst. I was cheering them on, hoping they could eventually get their relationship back to what it once was, and made for a very sweet hea.
Narrated by Logan Anare and Victoria Connolly, both new to me narrators. They did a great job bringing Amethyst and Maddox to life capturing the emotions of the story. Enjoyable narration and story.

loved it
Flip Trick was engrossing, captivating and addictive. This story was nothing like I was expecting, it went off in so many different directions yet that was what kept me glued to the pages of the story. I did not know what to expect, I did not know what was coming next and when something happened I needed to know more.
The characters in this novel were complex and flawed yet very much well developed. The secondary characters were all so likable and gave great support to the main characters. I loved them all.
The storyline had me hooked until the very end, the steamy scenes were intense and omg...the twists and turns will have you in shock.
I loved this novel would highly recommend it.
I listened to the audiobook version which was narrated by Victoria Connolly and Logan Anare. They both did a great job bringing the characters to life and giving them their own voice and emotion. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Angst
I have had this book I'm my collection for a while and because I know how Ms. Jones like to play with her readers I simply kept putting it off. now the audio is out I couldn't resist. It wasn't as dark as I was expecting but it doubly as angsty which kept me flipping the pages. Maddox and Amythest were a forever type of love with a thread of toxicity that only AJ brings to the table. Loved.

Interesting story
An interesting story that didn't quite hit the mark, for me. It felt jumbled and disorganised. The timeline was off and the last section ramped up with an over abundance of crazy detail which seemed to come out of nowhere. Both Victoria Connolly and Logan Anare told the story really well, capturing the characters and events. I am a huge Amo Jones fan, but this book just didn't gel for me. 💖💖💖💖

Soulmates
I absolutely loved this book my first chance listening to the author Amo Jones work. Amethyst and Maddox meet at the age of seven and instantly have a connection but it’s not until they are adults that they run into each other again and everything explodes. This story had lots of twist and turns could not stop listening. I will definitely be checking out more books by this author in the future.

Angsty Stepbrother Romance
Flip Trick by Amo Jones is a stepbrother romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Logan Anare and Victoria Connolly.
This book was so much more than what I thought it was going to be from the blurb. I liked some aspects of it, but other parts felt like they were really not necessary for the storyline. I don't want to give any spoilers away so I will leave it at that. The relationship between Maddox and Amethyst is very messy and let's be honest toxic. But I still couldn't help but root for them to get their happily ever after.
Logan and Victoria did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for an angsty romance, stepbrother romance, college romance, sports romance, second chance romance, or romantic suspense.

Amethyst and Maddox!
Amethyst does not have a lot in common with most college students from her love of skating to following her own fashion sense despite what others may think of her. She meets Maddox at a party, and they share a steamy encounter from which is exit could not be fast enough or more embarrassing. She never thought she would see him again but now she finds out that not only is he her soon to be stepbrother, but they know each other from their childhood as well.
Maddox is aware of his charm with woman but is focused on his MMA career and isn’t looking for love. That all changes when it comes to Amethyst but between the complication in the present as well as the past they shared and the past they did not share you are in for an angst filled journey.
Whether it is good or bad there is no denying the feelings between them whether they are together or apart. Even though they didn’t always make the best choices their paths would always lead back to each other and the love and chemistry they shared. The narrators managed to depict all the emotions, both the happiness and the devastation, and will have you hoping that they can find their way to each other.
