Fantastic!!
I have listened to this 360 nights a year, every year since 2017, and what an amazing story it is, too. Fast moving, and sleep-enducing. Relatable family life0 and dramas.
The main character, a girl called Flossie, is displayed as a plump girl who wants to be slim. Although this might not convey a great message, that is all I find wrong with the book. I love every moment of it (as well as knowing the first chapter off by heart- no joke!)
The narrator/reader fits the story perfectly, and not only tells the story well, but adds little twists to it that you would never get by reading the book. Eve has a soothing voice that can work either way. Keep you on your feet, or send you to sleep.
I highly recommend for ages 7+, but I reckon even adults could enjoy this story as much as I do. Set a while ago, there is a timeless feel to the book, and it gives you quiet thoughts that don't nibble to be answered straight away. I'm still pondering on it 4 years on!!
Audiobook of the decade! Thank you :)

Nostalgic and lovely
Love this. I listened to this when I was much younger and it takes me right back.
It did make me smile so much. I listened when I was doing my shopping in Sainsbury’s and found it a bit too distracting compared to my usual listens. When you listen as an adult it makes you so grateful for your adult life. All the things I found fascinating as a child I can now do.
I can remember about the driving lessons when I listened before. (I haven’t yet passed at 37!). I am so glad I can enjoy this again as an adult. It is as good as I remember.
