About this listen
Franktastic Football Manager Aged 12 is the first in a series of sports themed books by B. Briers. Perfect for reader 8+ of all sporting abilities. Available here as an unabridged audio download produced by Simon Wood at Dubmaster Studios.
Barney and Hattie Frank are 12-year-old twins who play football together in the school team. The team are trying to win the County Cup. Hattie is the better player but Barney thinks he can see where the school team is going wrong. So, when a TV talent show is looking for a new manager to help a failing Premiership team to start scoring again, Barney’s sure he knows the answer. Maybe, to demonstrate his skills, he could train Hattie to be a top goal scorer. Secretly he enters the show. If only he could win, wouldn’t that prove that he knows all about football, even if he’s not the best player.
The second in the series Franktastic Tackling Rugby is available on paperback and Kindle Edition.

"Narrator Lucy Scott enlivens this spirited sports story. Twelve-year-old Barney Frank and his twin sister, Hattie, are soccer (here called "football") fans-spectators of professional games and players for their school team. Listeners will enjoy hearing about the team and the family's home, which is shared with Grandpa Barney, Scott's best creation.
"Young Barney enters a contest without divulging his age to coach a professional football team for a charity event. Hearing the two Barneys join ranks in their hopes to win the contest is thrilling. The televised competition and school matches are realistic and infectious. The family's relationships sound genuine, with the twins competing but uniting when needed. Most rewarding for young listeners is learning that competition is normal and that both winning and losing can be sources of pride." (S.G.B. © AudioFile, Portland, ME —Jan. 2018)

This inspires me with football so much
I liked this book because it inspires you to do things you have never even imagined to do before even if it is crazy or not.I have no dislikes about this at all there is no violence or anything.I gave this book this amazing rating because it just is amazing who wouldn't like it some younger ones might not quite get the meaning of this book yet by I do.Whenever I feel sad about anything people say I can't do I would listen to this I recommend this book to anyone who feels down or unhappy about what they can or can't to we are all different in are own ways.-Helen Hope

Franktastic story
If I write a review I may spoil the story - Loved getting to know Barney, his grandad and their creative schemes
to keep their place in the football show competition. Very exciting build to a thrilling match. More please.

That he is 12 yrs old and a football manager
Well… it was a pretty good story a bit long tho 4 hrs to be exact good story tho but it does get a bit BORING overtime but the start is ok. The best part in my opinion is when he is playing football IRL
