From Window Box to Garden Oasis
For years, my attempts at gardening resulted in wilted herbs and sad-looking tomato plants. Then I found this book and it felt like a friendly neighbor sharing their secrets. Each chapter offered clear steps, from understanding Michigan's unique climate to harvesting juicy tomatoes. Chapter on Understanding Michigan's Climate and Soil was fascinating. I never knew the state had different growing zones! Now, I can choose plants that thrive in my area's short springs and long winters. This year, I planted spinach and lettuce in early spring based on the book's advice, and they're already thriving in my little window box! I can't wait to see what else I can grow next season in a bigger garden.
