Editor reviews

Michael Fenton Stevens gives an energetic performance of Zac Harrison’s science fiction novel Frozen Enemies, the second book in the Hyperspace High series. His golden voice and ability to inhabit disparate characters makes for a pleasurable listening experience. John, a human first-year student studying on a space ship, journeys to Archivus Major, a museum planet, with his class on a field trip. Things go awry when an accident causes two tribes of aliens - who happen to be rivals - to be freed from cryogenic storage.

More Please!

Two books in now, and thoroughly engrossed. Yeah, it's a little shorter than the last title, and the main action sequence is over surprisingly quick, but that really didn't detract from the experience all that much. The plot moved along at a steady, brisk pace with plenty of fun moments scattered throughout. A fun way to lose a couple of hours.

I honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy this series so much, but with its likeable characters, fun scenarios and impressive narrator, I've had an absolute blast with the first two Hyperspace High titles. I expect as much when I delve into the third instalment sometime soon.

Family friendly fun all round!
