Summary
David Allen reads an all-new edition of his popular self-help classic for managing work-life balance in the 21st century - now updated for the new challenges facing individuals and organizations in today's rapidly changing world.
Since it was first published more than 15 years ago, David Allen's Getting Things Done has become one of the most influential business books of its era and the ultimate book on personal organization. "GTD" is now shorthand for an entire way of approaching professional and personal tasks and has spawned an entire culture of websites, organizational tools, seminars, and offshoots.
Allen has rewritten the book from start to finish, tweaking his classic text with important perspectives on the new workplace and adding material that will make the book fresh and relevant for years to come. This new edition of Getting Things Done will be welcomed not only by its hundreds of thousands of existing fans but also by a whole new generation eager to adopt its proven principles.

So much wisdom in one book!
I love the philosophy behind this methodology.
David Allan must be a really special person, and this was super interesting to me.

Working hard and feeling it....
A great read for anyone working under pressure. At first it feels very basic, which the tips really are, it's about how many and how you do rather then simply what to do...

Great concepts but very dull
Good concepts that can be applied but a dry read for me. I would however recommend it if someone can stay with it.

Simply spectacular.
Read the first edition about seven years ago. This edition takes what was previously a brilliant book with a hint of the digital age and turns it into something which is highly relevant to everyone engaged in knowledge work in the 21st-century. Truly life changing. Have recommended it friends and been delighted with how much it has helped them. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

beneficial to everyone
this will become a classic. complements other 'personal development' books. I am a middle management information worker in IT with a business on the side and busy family life. the book has been baring fruit immediately and I'm on Positive trajectory as I invest in the methodology

one of the best self develpong books I ever listen
It's not the easiest book to follow but is definitely worth listening. I am sure in the future i will start over again one or twice, as the author wrote, every time you read it gives you new information. Looking forward to listening / reading other books from David Allen. Thank you

I am going to be so awesome!
The book is very well written and narrated and although there are a lot of data and concepts covered, it's presented in a way as not to make the 'reader' confused/bored.
There were a few points where I thought there may be a bit of padding going on, but later I realised that the detail in the explanation of ideas were necessary and actually added to my understanding of the whole GTD method.
I'm not going to go into the detail of GTD (you'll need to buy the book for that!), but if you are at all interested in being more productive and less stressed - you'd do yourself no harm in at least reading this book...

The Basics we never do but Should
An excellent book in Getting Things Done which has the most basic instructions of how to organize yourself and get things done. Highly recommend.
Its also good for young adults and students too, not just professionals.

Exciting revelations to clarity in such a busy life
I have only just finished the book, having been recommended it by a top executive who seems to manage so much with so much ease.
I have yet to implement the full programme and so can not comment on the effects of the full GTD. However, I have implemented the two minute rule and actions folder in my emails, this alone has helped me gain a level of clarity and sanity that I have not experienced. Things are more present and I don’t feel like I’m missing something when I check in on my inbox.
I am exciting to move forward in implementing more of the GTD strategies. Thank you David Allen for sharing the methodology!
