About this listen
When Aaron Johnson takes his married sister back to her home in Trade, Tennessee, he gets caught in a blizzard in the Appalachian Mountains on his return trip to West Virginia. Finding a remote cabin, he arrives frostbitten and needing care.
Meghan Scott lives with her harsh uncle, but he’s been missing for days. When a nearly frozen stranger comes to their cabin in a snowstorm, she reluctantly takes him in. However, she soon learns she has nothing to fear from the kind man trained to be a pastor, except maybe losing her reputation from harboring him or her heart. When her uncle turns up shot to death, the situation, visitors, and mystery get even more complicated.

I am loving this series!
After dropping off his sister Buellah, Aaron heads home to Northern Virginia from Tennessee. Unfortunately he gets caught in a blizzard and his horse is attacked by mountain cat. Being stuck on the mountain during a blizzard leaves him in a very bad position and by the time he winds up at Megan‘s uncles cabin he is very much worse for wear. His hands and feet were frostbitten, to the point where they became useless to him. Through Megan‘s caring and prayers he eventually gets better, but by this time Megan‘s uncle Finn shows up dead and tied to his horse. That isn’t going to be the only person shot in between the attempted murders and suitors for Megan hand, It’s a busy time on the mountain. Threw it all though a trust in affection bills between Megan and Aaron and it’s one that eventually they can ignore. Will Aaron be killed before he can tell Megan he loves her or will Megan‘s insecurity stop her from being with the love of her life? One thing is for certain though the love of God the brought them closer be what helps them decide their future. This was a great book and a great example of why I love Janice call Hopkins historical romance books. I just can’t get enough and can’t wait for the next book in this series. I totally recommend this book to anyone who likes authentic historical romance and one that stays tried and true to the love of God you will love this book. Whether you read it and the order or by itself you will totally love this book as much as I did! Please forgive any grammatical approunctuation of errors as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are my own.

Christian Historical Romance
A little bit like a murder mystery book, yet this one is definitely a romance! I enjoyed the narration, he didn't sound like someone from the Appalachians, but I've no other complaints! I loves the sheriff's voice the best!
I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!
