About this listen
Has pregnancy affected Brianna's psychic abilities? When Doc Myers, her mother's boyfriend, who also happens to be Brianna's boss, is kidnapped and a respected member of the community turns up dead, this medium doesn't have a clue. It's hard to fight crime when you're fighting 24/7 morning sickness. With ghosts only talking in riddles, Brianna must rely on old-fashioned sleuthing and her intuition to find Doc and stop the murders.
Gone Fishing in Lottawatah is the 14th book in the Brianna Sullivan mystery series. Join Brianna, Cooper, Beverly, Julia, and, of course, Leon, her adorable bulldog with the wonky digestive tract, on a roller coaster of a mystery ride, full of thrills, chills, and, yes, even romance.

Where's Doc, and who shot you?
Just three months after her marriage to local police chief, Cooper, after their disastrous cruise honeymoon, Brianna finds the body of their friend Hank by the lake. he'd been shot. And Doc, with whom he'd been on a fishing trip, had vanished. Then the news came in that two prisoners had escaped from a van transporting them to their murder trial. Could the two incidents be related?
This cozy mystery has everything: quirky, well characterized protagonists, humour, a good thriller mystery, a tiny touch of romantic possibility, goodies, baddies and ghosts who won't play the game, police and more unconventional intervention, all the 'pleasures' of pregnancy and family affections, good dialogue - all nicely written from the first person perspective and equally well narrated by Cindy Piller.
This is, apparently, the 14th book in the Brianna Sullivan mystery series but the first that I have had the great pleasure to read. It won't be my last: I really became fond of certain characters and it works perfectly as a stand alone. I was very fortunate in being freely gifted a complimentary copy of Gone Fishing in Lottawatah by the rights holder, at my request, via Audiobook Boom. Thank you so much. A very enjoyable book.
