I absolutely love the Shelby Nicolls books. This one was brilliant as always. Shelby is juggling working for a crime boss, the police and her own consultancy business, and she becomes a target for one of the criminals she's investigating. But time is running out as he is due to be released from prison. But with other cases taking her time, her sons birthday, and Uncle Joeys sisters' wedding, it's going to be hard to solve everything and get out alive. Another fantastic story by Colleen Helme, read by the brilliant Wendy Tremont-king who is Shelby in my eyes. Can't wait for the next instalment.

You have a duty to yourself to get this book, you won't be disappointed. You would think that at book seventeen the author would have run out of ways to surprise and entertain her listener/readers but this book proves she still has the magic and shows no signs of stopping. So much is going on that it is surprising that Shelby, let alone the reader, can keep it all straight but somehow we all do and each complication gets wrapped up nicely. Shelby is in fact investigating four cases and putting her mind reading skills to good use for both the police and Mafia Boss Uncle Joey, which leads to some complicated and unexpected situations. The characters and banter between them is just as charming and playful as we have come to expect and it was fun/lucky having a guest appearance from the authors other series, sigh of relief. I can't wait for the next book.
Someone is targeting business run by Mafia boss Uncle Joey and he sends Ramos and Shelby to look in to it. It small stuff at first, computer hacking, stopping people going to work, a robbery but it soon escalates to an attempted fire and a murder. Which is when things get very personal. At the same time the police chiefs daughter is getting married and Dimples is tasked with looking into the cold case, where the grooms father was murdered in a robbery. Shelby also has her own case to solve when a client heirs her to find a man and he isn't telling her everything. Can she solve all her cases in time for her sons birthday and a wedding in New York?
I love Wendy Tremont King as the narrator for this series and I can't imagine anybody else doing the characters justice, like she can. She is the voice of Shelby Nichols.

Grave Duty is packed with exciting cases for mind reading Shelby to solve with the help of a brilliant cast of characters. I absolutely love a Shelby Nichols Adventure and this one is every bit as wonderful as the others. I highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed! I love the narrator too!
