Summary
Come for an emotional ride in this stand-alone romance by New York Times best-selling author J. Sterling. With Sterling’s laugh-out-loud banter and a trio of brothers you’ll fall for, this realistic story is a must-listen.
I’ve seen Frank Fisher before, but he’s never seen me. He definitely saw me tonight. And I know I wasn’t the only one who felt the world shift the moment our eyes connected from across the bar.
But Frank isn’t like his brothers. He’s quiet, elusive, and keeps to himself. It makes him mysterious, but that’s not why I’m drawn to him. It’s something else. Something I’ve never experienced before, as cliche as that may sound.
I want to be around him. Get to know him better. Explore what’s growing between us, but Frank keeps holding back and I have no idea why. Good thing I’m a persistent woman who doesn’t scare off easily.
Right?
I guess we’ll see.
The Fisher Brothers is a series of stand-alone novels that can be sipped one at a time, or binged in order. Each book is named after one of the drinks at their popular bar!

A decent read
Reads like a relationship how-to manual according to all the BS we know and love in romantic love, plus some actual healthy and sensible advice which was well done. It was hard to tell how old these characters were meant to be— adults with careers and fancy apartments, but at the same time, at times, eye-rollingly immature. Contains all the usual clichés and although the narrators did a good enough job, the steam just felt slightly odd next to the pedestrian nature of the whole story. And the chatty American voices just didn’t ooze any sex appeal. It was telling itself how complicated and angsty it was, when, in fact, the story was so simple I wondered how one could spend 5 hours telling it when it could have been done in 2. Still, I think listening to this in one’s twenties is probably going to give this a higher score. I’m older and so I found it all a bit tedious. I feel bad being so critical. It was a decent read.

Good
Enijoyed Frank and Claudia's story. This is my favourite Fusher brother book so far, Nick and Jess was good, but thisone was better. I'm looking forward to Ryan's book.

True love ❤️
I really enjoyed this book, all three books are great. The Fisher brothers are hot and sexy with panty-dropping smiles. Frank deserves to be happy, no one should stay in a relationship out of obligation. I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

Boring
Frank is in a long term relationship with Shelby when he meets Claudia and is drawn to her. Much of this book is about how he feels guilty for being attracted to Claudia and for not knowing how to end his relationship with Shelby without hurting her. It’s tedious. The author has written much better books.

Sad and Selfish
A love story centered on an affair and it's justification is awful. This story is rife with selfishness and excuses for not owning actions and behaviours. The author's view on love lacks depth and integrity. This story left my heart hurting and a deep understanding that in a real life context these people would be carrying life long hurt and insecurity from this. I listen to these stories to escape reality and enjoy a good love story. I don't expect all good decisions and emotionally intelligent responses but this was just sad even in it's resolution. I have a pretty decent imagination and even I can't imagine this ever being a great love story.
