About this listen
From America's master storyteller and writer of historical fiction comes the dramatic conclusion to the North and South saga.
The Civil War has ended, but the Hazards and Mains have yet to face their greatest struggles. Even as the embers of old hatreds continue to burn in the heart of a nation torn apart by war, a new future in the West awaits a new generation of Americans seeking a life of their own - and a place to call their own.
Filled with all of the vivid drama, passion, and action that have made John Jakes the acclaimed master of historical fiction, Heaven and Hell is the tumultuous final chapter in one of the greatest epics of our time.

Would you listen to Heaven and Hell again? Why?
Yes.The story is amazing and Grover really brings the story to life!
What about Grover Gardner’s performance did you like?
Grover reads this with fantastic clarity and his accents really make you feel like the characters are with you!I must say that he does need to work on his English accent though as they border hilarious BUT in saying that,I wouldn't have anyone else do the narrative as Grover was fantastic!
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
it is already a film but the film was awful in comparison!Any additional comments?
Definitely worth listening/reading.Jakes has done an amazing job of mixing fact and fiction to produce an fabulous work of art!
A story that closes the many plots and twists nicely.
Many questions from the other 2 books were answered nicely in this story.
I have now had the pleasure of doing the whole trilogy and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!
Brilliant, Simply Brilliant!
