Der Morgen war wolkenfrei und ein wunderschöner Sonntag brach an. In unsere kleine Wohnung, bestehend aus Schlafzimmer, Kabinett und Küche im dritten Stock eines Hauses nahe der Rotundenbrücke und der Erdberger Lände in Wien schien die Sonne. Meinen Blick aus dem Fenster trübten nur die vielen Fabriken, in denen damals, im Jahr 1944, polnische Zwangsarbeitern Kriegsgerät herstellten. Ich konnte mich an ihren Anblick einfach nicht gewöhnen.
